Introducing me

Welcome!

Firstly, all of the text on this website is written personally by me, not by AI. I hope that will offer you a sense of who I am.

I trained in Counselling and Psychology to Masters level, thinking those disciplines would help me understand myself and others better. It was only when I discovered trauma, and the work of Dan Siegel and Gabor Mate, that I really discovered how to do the work of deep transformation. It changed my life and I’ve continued to learn and grow.

My expertise and experience helps me to hear the beliefs causing issues and see underlying behavioural patterns in play. Usually these patterns were formed in the subconscious mind during childhood, and once we become aware of them we can change them. I use various techniques and approaches - Compassionate Inquiry, EMDR, somatic techniques and breathwork. Although I’m predominantly a talk therapist, my training in other modalities, such as Breathwork and Kinesiology, helps me to have a more holistic overview of the elements of life that affect us. Talk alone is not enough.

Whilst a diagnosis can be helpful in recognising your symptoms, I believe we need to look underneath them; at what happened to you to create those symptoms. As children we create adaptations to survive. Those adaptations were once helpful, but when they continue into adulthood they shape our world in ways which limit us. Behaviours such as people-pleasing, denial, anger, projection, anxiety, seeking approval - the list is long of the ways we behave that no longer serve us.

I teach concepts and techniques that change emotions, thoughts and behaviour - improving quality of life and relationships. This leads to a deeper sense of connection - with ourself, others and to the world we live in. I’m not a spiritual teacher, but I am spiritual. I believe without doing the work on transforming our emotions, there is a danger of spiritual bypassing and welcome people to explore this with me.

I offer safety, kindness and understanding where your most shameful parts can be safely seen and held. I’ve worked with most of life’s darker elements, including all forms of abuse and addictions. There is no judgement - we’re all walking a path and doing our best with what we’ve been given.

I have a deep understanding of narcissism - and can work with anyone who has been affected by it in anyway - including someone who recognises they have narcissistic traits and genuinely wishes to change.

I firmly believe that with the right support, anyone of us can transform our life and behaviours. You are very welcome to book a brief call with me or book a first session to see if I’m the right therapist for you.

At the present time I can only offer online services due to a relocation to Essex.

“I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the care, knowledge, and dedication Jess brings to every person she works with. She has an incredible ability to tailor her approach to each individual, drawing on her extensive experience and unique skill set to provide support that feels genuinely personal and effective.

Jess has a broad knowledge of counselling and therapeutic approaches, which she seamlessly combines with additional qualifications in breathwork and holistic therapies. This enables her to support clients in a truly integrated way, addressing both emotional wellbeing and the mind-body connection.

Her compassionate, non-judgmental nature helps people feel safe, heard, and understood from the very first session. Jess is deeply committed to helping others achieve meaningful, lasting change, and it’s clear that she brings both professional expertise and genuine empathy to every client relationship.”

“It took a lot for me to ask for help. I was feeling completely lost and struggling with a great deal of self-loathing.

From the moment I met Jess, I felt instantly at ease. There was no formality, no sitting behind a notebook taking notes. She simply let me be myself and created a safe, welcoming space where I felt heard and understood.

I worked with Jess for around six months, and during that time she supported me through anxiety, past trauma, and coming to terms with loss. Together, we explored coping strategies, self-care, and what healing looked like for me.

Jess is incredibly kind, genuine, and down to earth. The support she gave me has had a lasting impact on my life, and she will always hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you, Jess. I will always be grateful.”

Client Reviews

“Jess is an absolute amazing therapist. She is worth all the money in the world. I’ve had about 4 therapists in the past and never lasted long with any of them as they just weren’t what I needed and I didn’t connect with them. Jess has been my therapist for around a year and my life has changed for the better. I’ve had both private psychotherapy sessions and group breathwork. I honestly couldn’t recommend Jess more. I’ll be sad to not be able to see her in person but I am over the moon that we can still do our sessions online. Much love”
